“Out of your vulnerabilities will come your strength”

Sigmund Freud

With the use of effective psychotherapy methods, I work with clients to better understand themselves, their motivation for change and contributing factors leading to unhealthy thoughts and behaviors. I encourage individuals to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards life situations.  With a shift in perspective often comes newly discovered areas of the self.  I also aide in helping to develop healthier coping mechanisms.  It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the client and therapist alike. Making small changes to self-defeating behaviors and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can ultimately bring life-altering results.

After entering the field of mental health in 2007, I began a private practice in 2010 subsequent to gaining experience in the non-profit and education sectors. My previous work as a school teacher, psychotherapy clinician and Holocaust case manager at Jewish Community Services of South Florida, experience working with LGBTQ, senior and marginalized populations, work as a school social worker and intern at Jackson North/The North Dade Health Center/Healthy Start program all inform my practice today.
